NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON REALIGNING COMMISSIONER PRECINCTS
According to the 2020 Census data, the County’s commissioner precincts are not of sufficiently equal population and must be redrawn in order to comply with the “one-person, one-vote” (equal population) principle established by the U.S. Constitution.
The Randall County Commissioners Court is considering new boundaries for its commissioner precincts and wants to hear from you. Tell us what you think about the preliminary commissioner precinct plan at the public hearing described below:

REDISTRICTING PROPOSALS
October 26, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Courtroom
located at 501 16th Street,
Third Floor, Canyon, Texas
The preliminary plan for the commissioner precincts will be available at the hearing and is also available for public inspection during normal business hours at the County Judge’s Office, 501 16th Street, Suite 303, Canyon, Texas, Monday through Friday from now until the date of the public hearing.
In addition you need to be aware that the Commissioners Court has adopted Guidelines for public participation. The Guidelines, among other things, require that comments be submitted in writing even if you make them orally at the hearing; all written comments are due by the close of the hearing. Any plans that are proposed must conform to the redistricting Criteria adopted by the Commissioners Court.
