Registration

Your vehicle registration may be renewed 60 days before the expiration date. You will have to obtain a passing inspection within 90 days of your expiration date. The inspection station will upload your inspection report into the system.

Registration Methods

You can renew your vehicle registration using one of the following methods:

  • In Person at either location
    • Bring:
      • Current passing inspection report
      • Current proof of insurance
      • Government issued photo ID
      • Payment
      • Renewal notice (not required)
    • A current Agriculture/Timber permit will have to be presented for farm vehicles and trailers.
  • Mail renewal to Randall County Tax Office at:

    • Send:
      • Check with driver's license number and phone number on it, Money order or cashier's check
      • Current passing inspection report
      • Current proof of insurance
      • Renewal notice
    • Mail by the 15th of the month in order to receive your renewal back by the end of the month
    • A current Agriculture/Timber permit will have to be presented for farm vehicles and trailers
  • Online at  Texas Government website
    • 60 days before the expiration date, or up to 6 months after the expiration date, if you have not received a citation for expired registration

Trailers

Trailers with a gross weight of over 7500 pounds are required to have an inspection. Trailers with farm registration are exemption from inspection regardless of the weight.
